Now with a spring date, Grand Reception, which honors members of the Louisiana judiciary and legislators, makes its comeback as the signature event of convention weekend. This great party will be a reunion of trial bar colleagues and friends from throughout Louisiana. Here's a detailed listing of events: Thursday, March 4 Section meetings. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on wonderful gifts, trips, jewelry, art and other special items donated by LAJ members and businesses while listening to music provided by a trio of jazz musicians that includes Victor Atkins, pianist for the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and Los Hombres Calientes. Jazz Brunch 12:30 p.m., Commander's Palace, 1403 Washington Ave. Convention ends with a classic Jazz Brunch at Commander’s Palace.
