We missed you at our LAJ luncheon January 28 in Alexandria. This was a fun, energetic event! The discussion was extremely valuable, and there was good company with LAJ colleagues from the surrounding region and our honored guests who included judges from the Louisiana 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal, 9th, 30th, and 33rd Judicial District Courts, area legislators and local law enforcement officials. On behalf of the LAJ Board and members, we thank the following firms for generously sponsoring the luncheon: Charles Elliott & Associates, LLC; Alexandria Hunter & Beck; Alexandria Smith Advocates, LLC; Leesville Spurgeon Law Firm, LLC; Alexandria The Davenport Firm, APLC; Alexandria There are other LAJ programs and networking events coming up soon. LAJ's 62nd Annual Convention takes place March 5-7 in New Orleans, featuring exciting CLE opportunity for members, as LAJ will co-host the "Evidence and Procedure Seminar with the Louisiana Judicial College." The Judicial College is expecting a great attendance of judges. We hope that you and many other LAJ members will be there to participate in the joint educational opportunities with them. Also, our hallmark Grand Reception will honor members of the judiciary and Legislature. There's great networking at President's Luncheon, section meetings and more. It is especially important that we as LAJ officers make time in our schedules to drive to your region of the state so that we may hear from as many members as possible. Your input is important to the association. We hope to see you soon at Annual Convention in March! Sincerely, J., Edwin, Paul, and Connie J.
