Paul M. Sterbcow

Paul M. Sterbcow is the managing partner of Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC, New Orleans, where his practice focuses on admiralty law and civil litigation. An LAJ Executive Committee member since 2012, Sterbcow has also served on the LAJ Council of Directors and Board of Governors.
He was one of seven members honored with the 2011 LAJ President’s Award for work on the BP litigation Plaintiffs Steering Committee. He twice chaired the LAJ Maritime Law Section (2006-07 and 2016-17).
Sterbcow is an active member of the American Association for Justice and its Admiralty and Railroad Law sections. He was the 2001 AAJ Admiralty Law Section chair and has served on the section’s executive committee since 1999.
Sterbcow is a member of numerous other professional groups. He is a fellow of the International College of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member and past treasurer of the New Orleans Bar Association, a bar fellow of the American Bar Association, and member of the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association New Orleans Chapter, among others.
This year, Sterbcow was honored with the New Orleans Bar Association Outstanding Maritime Lawyer Award and with the Federal Bar Association President’s Award.
He frequently lectures for such groups as LAJ, AAJ, Tulane University, Federal Bar Association, and others.
